Gary Cahill has been offered the chance to remain in the Premier League with Burnley among the clubs keen to sign the defender.
The centre-back played his final game for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday before his seven-year stay comes to an end this summer.
Cahill came on in the final minute of the 3-0 win against Watford, replacing David Luiz, in what was only his second league appearance of the season and eighth overall, having barely figured under Maurizio Sarri and was given a raucous reception from the crowd.
But that hasn’t put off Burnley, who are one of the many clubs considering a move for Cahill, according to the Daily Mail.
Having been shunned by the Italian, the 33-year-old has used his time out of the side to maintain his fitness and would certainly add experience and class to Sean Dyche’s side.
The Burnley manager is no stranger to English veterans, having signed former Liverpool and Tottenham forward Peter Crouch in January, with the club looking to extend his deal by another year, even though he’s 38.
