Roy Keane pulled no punches in his assessment of Manchester United following their derby defeat to Manchester City.
The Red Devils were outclassed by their local rivals 2-0 at Old Trafford, with City moving back top of the Premier League thanks to second-half strikes from Bernardo Silva and Leroy Sane.
It was United’s seventh defeat in nine matches and, prior to the match, Keane had already launched a scathing attack on midfielder Paul Pogba, labelling him a ‘big problem’ for the club.
He said: “The guy is a talented boy, but we’re saying the same things over and over again.
“The number of times I’ve seen him in games where he’s not sprinting back or running back. He’s talking about body language, throwing his arms up in the air, he’s a big problem for United.
“I don’t know what he’s like around the training ground or when they travel, but he mentioned body language and pride, I don’t see it, I don’t see it in his performances. And my eyes don’t lie to me.
“I’m not disagreeing he’s a talented player, but you need more than just talent.
“We talk about the real top players, the great players, they make their team better and they make their teammates better. He doesn’t do that. He plays for himself.”
Following the match, Keane went in even harder on his former club.
The ex-midfielder lamented the performance of Fred, the Brazil midfielder, especially highlighting the role he played in City’s second goal.
The Brazilian allowed Raheem Sterling to breeze past him, before laying the ball off to Sane to smash home.

Fred moved to Old Trafford in the summer for Ă‚£50million but has struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League.
Keane said: “That’s cheating, what he’s (Fred) done is cheating, letting the guy run off him.”
But his colleague Gary Neville intervened, saying: “Watching Fred all season, he commits to challenges, he gets skipped past and he can’t get back, he can’t recover, he’s not got the legs. I think that’s what he is.
“There’s nothing I’ve seen from United that makes me think they could’ve given more. They could’ve not made mistakes, but that’s the best they’ve got I think.”

Keane was only infuriated more by his former team-mate’s attempt to play down the performance, saying: “Look Gary, they’re strolling across! Fred sells himself short here. He gives the ball away, which can happen, then compounds it.
“You do not let (Raheem) Sterling then get goal side of you. Why aren’t people trying to stop the shot?
“If that’s a player giving it their all, then Manchester United are in even more trouble than I think, and I think they’re in huge trouble.”
Meanwhile, the PFA Team of the Year was announced on Thursday morning and many were surprised by Paul Pogba’s inclusion.
The Frenchman has struggled for form for large parts of the season, apart from a period of superb displays following the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as United’s caretaker manager.
However, his recent performances have again dipped as United continue to struggle.
Other supporters have also been left shocked by the fact that Chelsea star Eden Hazard has been left out the season’s so-called best XI.
