Former Liverpool midfielder Paul Ince is concerned Jurgen Klopp’s men have ‘exhausted themselves’ ahead of the Champions League final, leaving them prone to further disappointment against Tottenham.
The pair meet in an eagerly anticipated showdown at the Wanda Metropolitano on Saturday night, in the first all-English final in the competition since 2008.

The Reds finished one point behind Manchester City in a frantic Premier League title race – despite holding a 10-point lead over Pep Guardiola’s men after 20 games.
In contrast, Spurs finished fourth as their season ended without a win in their last three league games.
And Ince, who spent two years at Anfield during a successful playing career, believes that intense battle could result in more silverware falling out of Liverpool’s grasp.
“The Champions League final isn’t a foregone conclusion, Liverpool will be knackered from trying to chase Man City,” Ince told Paddy Power.

“Liverpool have had a very hectic season. If I was [Spurs boss, Mauricio] Pochettino, I’d be saying that they’ve had a very, very tough season.
“They’ve exhausted themselves trying to chase City – and will they be feeling that during the final? It will definitely have taken its toll.
“Losing out to City in the Premier League will have not only taken its toll on Liverpool physically, but mentally too.
“When you finish the season like that, and have a three week wait for the final, that’s draining for anyone – never mind if you’ve just missed out on the title.”
