Former Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso has won his first trophy in management.
The ex-Spain playmaker has guided Real Madrid’s Under-13s to the Division de Honor title.

His side defeated Adarve away from home on Wednesday evening to claim the division crown with three matches to spare.
And Alonso was delighted with the victory.
“First of all, the stars of this is them [the team] the ones that deserve it is them,” he said shortly after the match.
“They’re the ones that are on the pitch and fight, play, know how to suffer and have made us enjoy it very much.

Alonso retired at the end of the 2016/17 season and immediately embarked on achieving his coaching badges.

He followed fellow ex-Los Blancos stars Guti and Santiago Solari – who was recently sacked as first-team boss – by claiming a job within their academy structure.
Alonso completed his UEFA Pro License last May with several other high profile names, including Raul, Xavi Hernandez, Victor Valdes, and Joan Capdevilla.
