Sam Allardyce’s grandson has signed for League One club Oxford United on a one-year contract.
The centre-back, also named Sam Allardyce, was previously part of Manchester United and Bury’s youth set-up.
Yellows manager Karl Robinson heaped praise on Allardyce, 18, following the announcement of the signing.
Robinson said: “Sam is an ‘old school’ defender.
“He reads the game really well and wants to win every ball and every header.
